About Newton, MA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Newton, Massachusetts is a suburban city about 7 miles west of downtown Boston. It was settled in 1630 as part of the “Newe Towne” which was to become Cambridge, but in 1688 was established as a separate city. Today Newton numbers about 80,000 residents and is home to several institutions of higher education including Lasell College, Mount Ida College and Boston College. The Newton Free Library, opened in 1870, is one of the largest in the state, lending out some 2 million items per year. Newton's many famous residents throughout the years have included Katharine Lee Bates, author of the lyrics to “America the Beautiful”, and Samuel Smith, who wrote the words to “My Country, 'Tis of Thee”.

Newton has a four-season climate, with long, cold winters and mild summers.  Newton welcomes visitors to events throughout the year – spring brings the Boston Marathon, where runners struggle to top Newton's infamous “Heartbreak Hill”. In summer the city hosts the New England Dance Festival, while in autumn the Newton Jazz and Wine Festival and Newtonville Village Day take center stage. In December the city lights up with numerous holiday displays, and the annual Holiday Crafts Fair displays the work of local artists.
