About Cambridge, MA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Cambridge, Massachusetts was incorporated in 1636 and named for Cambridge University in England. Its motto, the English translation of which reads "Distinguished for Classical Learning and New Institutions," reflects the city's status as home to two of the nation's premier institutes of higher education, Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Cambridge also boasts a number of high-tech startup companies and a thriving biotech industry. Many Cambridge neighborhoods revolve around major intersections, including Central Square, Inman Square, Porter Square, Lechmere Square, Kendall Square and Harvard Square. The Charles River separates Cambridge from Boston, which lies to its south and east.

Cambridge has what is known as a humid continental climate, characterized by cold, snowy winters and warm summers. As the city lies along the eastern seaboard, it is occasionally hit by hurricanes and, more frequently, the strong winter storms known as nor'easters. No matter the weather, though, Cambridge hosts numerous outdoor events ranging from community picnics to major festivals. Springtime brings the Cambridge Riverfest , while the Taste of Cambridge takes place in Central Square each July. Cambridge's largest outdoor festival, the African-themed Cambridge Carnival, is held each September, and a month later the annual Oktoberfest celebration fills Harvard Square with over 200 craft and food vendors as well as live music, rides, kids' games, a hot air balloon and the Honk! Festival Parade.
